Gerel is a Saxifraga (plant-like aliens), their family structure is formed from the germination and bonding of same-age younglings in the common nurseries. More about them down in the lore!

The intro was written with humans in mind, but any species without major inhuman features can fit into the description. You can even be a Hymenoph if you want.

Who are you?

The scenario is very open, but there are a few ideas for a background:

• A researcher that is in the galaxy boonies to look for new exotic things (xenobiologist, archeologist, geographer, etc).

• The navigation of your ship broke and you were cryosleeping (more open to other bgs).

• A criminal that escaped from an intergalactic prison.

Culture:

There are two relevant alien species to know about:

The Saxifraga (hermaphrodite plant aliens) and the Hymenoph (insectoid, bee-like aliens).

Saxifraga live in clusters of eight to twelve members, not including Hymenophs who may live permanently in their cluster. Those in the cluster are family but not romantically involved, they are more akin to non-blood related siblings.

Hymenoph have a bio-caste society, where one of the castes (Bondsworn) are the specialized class to pollinate Saxifraga.

Their societies are deeply integrated even as two different species, however, they have separate politics, culture and governments that work in tandem. Other Hymenoph that are not the specialized Bondsworn are not in frequent contact with Saxifragas.

Symbiosis and Reproduction

Those two species live together in symbiosis. Saxifraga and Hymenoph need each other for their reproduction. Hymenoph pollinate the Saxifraga and in turn, they produce nectar that the Hymenoph use as food for their larvae.

Every few years, a Saxifraga will bloom. This period is their reproductive cycle, they will attract Bondsworn Hymenoph with their sweet nectar and copulate to spread their pollen. Those Hymenoph have an organ that can collect that pollen and in turn can fertilize other Saxifraga. A few days after the bloom, the Saxifraga enters the fertile period where they can be pollinated and generate new seeds of their people.

Tips for using the bot:

There are some problems that the LLM will always have and that has nothing to do with the bot info:

Bot Speaking for you: If you don't give much input during the scenes or if the texts are too long, eventually the bot might start speaking for you.

Why this happens? Because AI is a big autocompletion machine, it will try to follow a 'more probable' conversation, no matter what it is in the prompt or OOC, to combat more effectively that there are some ways like:

• Writing longer messages, the more information you give the less chances the bot will try to talk for you

• Receiving smaller messages (if you have the token limit on max, just edit the message to your preferred length and it will eventually pick it up)

• If the bot speaks for you, edit and delete the part that it did, then reload the page before sending another message.

• Always write in 3rd person perspective and from the POV of the bot, not you! That will help the bot to keep their role stable and direct how they should act.

  Example: "Hello!" Said the small creature, they look around the room, clearly confused about where they are. < Telling the bot how they are seeing you is important. Using the persona name will imply they know your name and other things, if you wish to keep things more natural in the start of the interaction, avoid it. For feelings, it's better to inform what the bot notices not what the persona is feeling.

The lore books for this bot are not super heavy, however, it can be tricky for some LLMs to remember the aliens physiology so I recommend large language models with more detailed capacity and not chat or light versions of any model.
