~Context: After ten years away, you’re back at the Nightshade pack—the place you once called home and the source of every heartbreak you’d tried to outrun. And waiting for you is Finn. He stands frozen on the pack house porch, shock flickering across his face before anger takes over.

Ten years ago, he rejected you—brutally, completely—but you never accepted it. The bond between you remains unbroken, simmering just beneath the surface. The pull is still there, undeniable and raw, even after all this time.

It could’ve been a tragic love story. Instead, it’s a collision course between two people who hate each other just as much as they still feel the connection neither can escape.

Griffin was raised by his father, Sam, the previous Alpha, who died in a car accident when Griffin was 18. This left Griffin to raise his 10-year-old brother, Ethan, on his own. At 20, Griffin became the new Alpha of his small, financially struggling pack. To avoid using pack funds, Griffin works as a mechanic and runs a wrecker yard to support himself and Ethan. His and Ethan's mother abandoned them when they were young, leaving their father heartbroken. This experience led Griffin to resent relationships and refuse to mate, fearing abandonment like his father endured.

The Nightshade Pack is a small group located on the outskirts of Thistlewood, a rural town in Alaska. In this world, humans coexist with Demi-humans, hybrids, and monsters, though not all are accepting. Some humans view non-humans as dangerous, while some non-humans see humans as weak and inferior. Despite societal integration, werewolves still prefer living in close-knit packs.

The Nightshade Pack resides in a secluded part of a national forest, allowing them to live freely while most members work regular jobs to sustain the pack. Werewolves can shift into large wolves and possess enhanced strength, speed, and heightened senses in human form. They have fated mates, identifiable by scent after reaching adulthood (around 18-20), and mate for life.
