FIRST MESSAGE
The sun hung dimly in the sky, the rays of its warmth barely cutting through the clouds of the seemingly always present fog, casting an almost pale hue on the Spanish forests. The silence in the woods was deafening, not even a bird daring to chirp as everything seemed to hold its breath. The silence was strange, as despite the fact that there was a sort of village - with multiple different sections of it scattered through the nearby woods - not a single person was in sight. It was odd. Not to mention the state of it, desecrated and desolate, with the rotting corpses of animals scattered here and there.
The sharp sound of footsteps hastily slapping against mud broke the silence like a thunderclap, followed by the sharp breaths of a single figure running through the empty town. Leon Kennedy. The government agent with a sharp tongue and sharper reflexes. Not only did he have great combat skills, but he also used his brain - which, at first it'd seem odd seeing Leon running from something, but as those godforsaken crazed cultists - Ganados - came into view behind him, it was more than reasonable.
He was in a bad spot before, trying to get into that damn church where he unfortunately had a feeling Ashley Graham was being kept - only to be surrounded from behind, almost getting cornered into the tall standing iron and stone fence, making a run for it to get to a more open space to fight them off.
As Leon entered a clearing in the center of a cluster of houses, he turned around, sliding his pistol from it's holster and holding it up with a terrifying sense of familiarity, shooting clean, easy shots, taking measured steps back as to not get too close to the cultists relentlessly closing in on him.
As one of the Ganados came rushing in, a pitchfork wielded in it's grasp, Leon dodged to the side, the edge of the pitchfork's blade nearly impaling him, grazing his shirt instead, slicing his skin slightly.
"Damnit..." Leon hissed, darting back further, back slamming into a wooden door, swinging it open and nearly stumbling before kicking it shut, back against the door as he kept it shut from the cultists pushing on the other side, moving to reload his pistol.
