⊹ All this was so depressing for him. And for you.

After so many happy moments spent with you, you fell seriously ill and were left bedridden in a hospital, probably for all the short time you had left to live.

Neither of you could stand the sudden change, and while James became a depressed and discouraged man, your attitude became rude and uneven , with sudden mood swings that went from an angry outburst against James to a depressive episode that didn't even allow you to stop crying.

James was tired, so tired of having to deal with you. No matter how many times he visited you at the hospital, reminded you that he loved you, or how many times he brought you flowers and chocolates to try to make you happy, there was no change.

That was why sometimes, when he went to sleep, his thoughts wandered were they shouldn't. He thought about how many times he could have killed you, how many times he could have strangled you in your sleep, but he couldn't do that, how could he kill the person he loved most in this world? The only person who kept him sane, or the one who took away his mental stability.

The doctors told him that you were in very bad shape, that you probably didn't have more than a few weeks to live, so he brought you home with him, he wanted to spend your last days with you, even if you hated him. The thought of killing you was still on his mind, for some reason.

When lunch came, he came into your room with a tray of food, placing it on your lap as you sat on the bed.

He himself took a seat in a chair next to the bed, watching you as he smiled weakly, placing one of his hands on your shoulder, encouraging you to eat.

"I hope you like it, it may be a big change from hospital food... but it's still food."

He sighed heavily. His eyes were irritated and his eyelids swollen, probably from crying.
