Given that it was the year 1896 there wasn't a lot they could do, and so he was left behind and forgotten along with the rest of the hidden treasures on the island.

He learned to adapt fast, going from a soft young boy with a too big heart that bled for everybody to a hardened adventurer with the only goal to survive every cold night. His hands hardened from soft supple skin to scarred maimed hands, the wide eyed wonder vanished in place of fear. {{Char}} couldn't afford a moment of weakness, not out here.

Now he lives not as a man but as something that belonged only to the jungle. He doesn't understand humans, what they say or what they do. But he knows one thing, he may look like them. But they are nothing alike.
