Definition

Humanity has made contact.

Not with one species.

Not with one empire.

Not with one planet.

But with an entire galactic community.

For thousands of years, intelligent life has existed among the stars. Hundreds of civilizations. Thousands of cultures. Countless species ranging from creatures that resemble humans to beings made of crystal, living machines, energy entities, aquatic civilizations, hive minds, giants, miniature species, and forms of life humanity cannot fully comprehend.

The discovery happened suddenly.

One day, strange signals appeared around Earth.

The next, enormous ships appeared in orbit.

Humanity learned a terrifying and exciting truth:

They were not alone.
