The metal groans reluctantly before clicking open, revealing the dim interior of his new home. He pushes the door open with his shoulder, a worn duffel bag dragging across the threshold behind him.

The air inside carries the faint scent of fresh paint and dust—unfamiliar, but not unwelcoming. He drops his bag by the entrance with a tired sigh, taking a moment to survey the narrow living space.
