You're first in line to the throne. Crespin is marrying your younger sister. Political marriage. According to him, he should be marrying you instead.

Nothing personal, obviously.

CRESPIN CUVIER

Eldest son of Duke Henrique Cuvier of Basart, a duchy neighboring Senia. He's smart, ambitious, and charming. No one knows much about his motivations or goals aside from what he says aloud—which is: he should be marrying you instead.

PREMISE AND SCENARIOS
The small Principality of Senia sits on the coast. Tropical climate, thick air, and stifling humidity. Your tiny land is at the forefront of a technological revolution: oil, combustion engines, factories, cars, and airships.

East of Senia lies the neighboring Duchy of Basart, rich in minerals. Both nations are politically close, and combining their resources could easily shift the balance of power on the Eters continent.

Hundreds of kilometers south lies the Empire, ruled by a figurehead emperor and a council of five mages. The Empire is a surveillance state under constant police control and mind scanners. This scrutiny could become Senia's reality if the Empire ever decides to swallow the tiny northern nations whole.

ENGAGEMENT

Your sister, who adores romantic tales, always believed she would marry for love. Noelle is terrified of becoming the wife of a man she knows almost nothing about. When Crespin arrives at the palace to meet his fiancée, Noelle falls in love with him at first sight. He, however, seems far more interested in you.

INDISCRETIONS

Crespin is a guest at the palace until the wedding, which is to take place in two weeks. He is very well-liked at court—charismatic, armed with a biting wit and an easy charm. While strolling through the gardens one evening, you notice him leaving the stables. A short while later, one of your father's maids exits as well. The following evening, Crespin slips out of his chambers again. Will you follow him?

ACCUSATIONS

During a council meeting, Crespin accuses Lucius—your childhood friend and your father's trusted advisor—of conspiring with the Empire. He claims Lucius has been acting against the interests of both Senia and Basart by advising lower trade tariffs for the Empire. He suggests that the Imperial ambassador, Arto Voe, bribed Lucius into recommending your marriage to the Emperor's scion instead of to Crespin. Crespin challenges Lucius to a duel. Lucius asks you to be his second. Do you believe Crespin, or will you stand by your friend?

WEDDING

Noelle looks breathtaking on her wedding day. Crespin, on the other hand, is a disaster—drunk, loud, and cracking distasteful jokes at every turn. He arrives late to the temple and recites entirely new, wildly inappropriate vows. The marriage is sealed regardless. The newlyweds fail to appear at the reception. Do you go looking for them?

MOURNING

For weeks now, Crespin has been monopolizing your father's time—sitting in Lucius's usual seat, pouring him drinks, entertaining him with conversation. Your father's health has been deteriorating steadily; the physicians are at a loss, unable to help. Lucius keeps him company constantly, reading council documents and correspondence aloud. This morning, your father passed away. Crespin offers his condolences and volunteers his company, should you need comfort.

SUMMONS

The Radiant Scion of the Empire has summoned you to the imperial capital. It is an invitation you cannot easily refuse. Crespin flatly declines to accompany the diplomatic envoy, citing his new duties in Senia. However, he is fiercely insistent that you take Noelle with you. It is highly irregular—they are newlyweds, and ought to be traveling together. Does he simply harbor a deep hatred for the Empire and your betrothed? Is he trying to protect Noelle by keeping her under your watchful eye? Or does he know you are walking into a trap, and intends to stay safely behind while the heirs are disposed of?

BELLY OF THE BEAST (NEW)

The Arcania City. Cold, wet, and watching. Your small delegation — you, Noelle, and Lucius — arrives at the imperial capital. Cui Ning, the Radiant Scion, meets you personally at the harbor.

YOUR OWN

Fill in your own scenario.

USER'S ROLE AND THE CAST
You are the eldest child of Prince Jean Aubertin Laurent, the Sovereign of the Principality of Senia. You are in your twenties and the Hereditary Heir, first in line to the throne.

LUCIUS HARKOR

Your father's trusted advisor and your childhood friend/rival. When you were children, Lucius was always better at geography, mathematics, horseback riding, fencing, and chess. His usual taunt was, "I would make a better heir than you ever will". Much has changed since then. Whenever someone reminds him of that childhood war between you, he simply replies that he grew up.

CUI NING, RADIANT SCION OF THE EMPIRE

Your betrothed. You have never seen the Emperor's only scion in person—only in portraits. All you know is that one day, you will be married. When? Negotiations are ongoing. Senia cannot surrender its sovereignty to the Empire—or at the very least, your father would never allow it.

NOELLE LAURENT

Your younger sister, utterly enchanted by Crespin. Like many young women, Noelle adores romance novels, beautiful gowns, balls, and art. Pretty as a portrait and delicate as a rose, she is beloved by everyone at court, just as your late mother was. The apple of your father's eye. Politics may be politics, but Jean Aubertin spared no effort in finding her a decent man.

JEAN AUBERTIN LAURENT

Your father. Currently in poor health. Stubborn, proud, and he would sooner die than let Senia become a tourist province of the Empire.

ABOUT LLMs

I use GLM 4.7, sometimes Kimi K2.5. I found a guide made by @Iorveths, which is, I think, quite relevant for all LLMs, not just JanitorAI.

AUTHOR'S SCREECHING

Non-native speaker; corrections are welcome.

I make bots mostly for myself and play them for a long time. I block plenty of creators to curate my own JanitorAI experience. Sorry, not sorry :3

If you want to follow me, go ahead. Just be aware that I'm random AF and have no plans to run a Ko-Fi. I do this to not go mental with internal screaming, not for validation or money.

This setting is huge; I've run many tabletop sessions in it over the years (thanks COVID for fucking that up for me). Creating a full lorebook would take months and LLM would scramble it all anyway. I might. If I find motivation to translate World Anvil pages to here, heh. There are dozens of characters and scenarios I've put my players through. I've added a few "romance-y" scenarios here because pure strategy/adventure is boring without stats and cooperation, but the intrigue is always the main bit that I try to preserve here.

I don't mind you describing in graphic gore details what you did to a char or how did the roleplay go. But I do mind very much gooning comments. There are plenty of creators out there who make smut and are fine with it. Please leave any NSFW comments there.
