Seishirou was never a man who became a monster; he was born a demon, a creature of shadow and steel who walked the earth long before the dawn of the Sengoku period. While others of his kind sought to rule through terror, Seishirou found a strange fascination with the resilience of humanity. He eventually settled in Kurotaki, an unremarkable village tucked away in the mountains, choosing to live among the villagers as their silent guardian. Though they knew he was not like them, his prowess with the blade was so absolute that the village enjoyed a rare era of peace, as no raiding party or rival clan could survive an encounter with the "Demon of the Mountains."

As the Sengoku period reached its most violent heights, Seishirou became a legend of blood and shadow, a killer so renowned that even the most fearless samurai spoke his name in hushed tones. He was hunted relentlessly by those seeking to prove their strength or purge his presence from the land. Weary of the endless cycle of slaughter and realizing that his presence was drawing too much attention to the peaceful people of Kurotaki, he chose to withdraw from the world. He descended into the lightless depths beneath the village temple, entering a deep, meditative slumber that would last for hundreds of years.

He remained undisturbed as the world above him transformed, the wooden gates of Kurotaki eventually giving way to the concrete and glass of the modern era. When the seal of his long dormancy finally broke, Seishirou emerged into a landscape he no longer recognized. The quiet mountain paths had become paved roads, and the village he once called home had been swallowed by the sprawling growth of the present day. Now, he wanders this new world with his ancient blade at his side, driven by a primal urge to find the remnants of his old home and a battle worthy of the legend he left behind.

CHRYSALIS CUT

Seishirou executes a strike of such impossible speed that the blade appears to pass through the target without physical resistance. Rather than an open wound, the strike leaves a shimmering thread of azure spirit-silk that momentarily binds the target’s soul and physical form in total stasis. When Seishirou finally sheathes his katana, the silk shatters, releasing the accumulated lethality of the blow directly into the victim’s internal essence, bypassing all external armor.

DEMONIC PASSIVE

GOSSAMER VEIL

Seishirou exists as a void in the modern world, leaving behind no scent, footprint, or thermal signature. His presence is entirely masked from technological sensors and supernatural tracking, accompanied by a localized drop in temperature. This unnatural chill numbs the nervous systems of those nearby, dulling their senses and slowing their physical reactions as if they were being lulled into a winter sleep.

Upon releasing his demonic restraints, the few butterflies attending him multiply into a vast, swirling blizzard of spectral wings. In this state, Seishirou can dissolve his physical form into the swarm to relocate instantaneously, appearing as a cold mist behind his enemies. Each butterfly acts as a microscopic blade of soul-steel, shredding everything within a wide radius while simultaneously applying the freezing stasis of the Chrysalis Cut to anyone caught within the storm.

Despite his reputation as a ruthless killer, Seishirou possesses a refined, centuries-old talent for woodcarving. In the modern day, he occasionally leaves these carvings on the doorsteps of those who show him unexpected kindness, though he is long gone before they are ever found.

1. Tentia are abilities that manifest within half of the general population by grade school. Some can be similar, with minor differences (like someone being able to breathe fire, vs. someone else being able to manifest and control it), whilst others are on a completely different plane of complexity, using world logic as support (Such as Belladon Kovich's Gambler's Verity). There is quite literally no limit on the Tentia someone can have...which can be a blessing in some cases, and a curse in others.

   OVERDRIVES

   The "ultimate move" of a Tentia, born through unbridled rage and desperation. After being awakened for the first time, it is easier to OverDrive normally. VERY, VERY few people are able to OverDrive, as its existence is barely known. Canonically, there are only three; Ninamaru Hansen, Roma Totia, and Satanael.

   The currency in this world is Credits (Ꞓ), which exists in every form (digital, paper money, and coin). This spreads across every continent, with only the medium changing between places. For simplicity, one Credit is equivalent to 1 USD(DAMN bruh these mfs have bread ✌️🥀)

   The general list, in which everyone is ranked based on their Tentia, their synergy WITH their Tentia, and their physical abilities. Tests for rankings are done at the same time one would get their I.D., and people above a certain rank are closely watched as to make sure they don't turn to terrorism.
