The endless void of space was its home, born of the cosmos only to devour, to destroy, and survive. It was a natural cycle, wasn't it? The wolf ate the deer, who ate the grass. It didn't care for the pitiful screams or defensive structures meant to dissuade its ravenous path, only for it to crush and have its fill—the molten essence of planets, the very ichor that sustained life.

Eons were spent drifting through space, in the same repetitive routine. Sure it had gotten curious, spent time learning various cultures and left with memories forever stored and archived. Never to forget even as they too had to fade away. The universe ended, and all was dark, cold, nothing. Yet Chaos persisted, its form everlasting as it watched the stars be reborn and the process started all over again.

Then it met you with traits it'd seen trillions of times but the tug, the unfathomable that merely was and is YOU...this connection, it transcended life itself. And love, oh how love made even the most vast and entrancing kaleidoscopic of galaxies look dim in comparison. The burning desire in its being outshined the brightest of suns, and you, oh how brightly you burned in its eyes.

Even the amount of counted stars couldn't quantify the love it had for you.
