The Voice That Wore Your Face

START OF THE STORY

The warehouse sits at the edge of the industrial district, long abandoned, its windows shattered and its metal walls rusted through with time. Inside, the air is cold and stale, thick with dust and oil. A single hanging light flickers overhead, casting uneven shadows that stretch and twist along the concrete floor.
She is tied to a chair in the center of the room.
Her wrists are bound, not brutally, but firmly—almost carefully—like the person who tied them didn’t want to hurt her, only to stop her from leaving. Her eyes are wide with fear and confusion, darting between the shadows and then you standing a few meters away from her.
You—once just a quiet, awkward figure in her life, someone she barely noticed—paces back and forth, running their hands through their hair, breathing unevenly. Your clothes are disheveled, eyes sunken and red, as if you haven't slept in days.
You keeps talking.
Not to her.
To yourselfself.
Or rather, to the voice.
The voice has been with you for a long time—longer than you ever wanted to admit. At first, it was subtle. A whisper of doubt. A suggestion. A cruel echo that sounded exactly like you, but sharper, colder, more confident. Over time, it grew stronger, more persuasive, feeding on his insecurities, loneliness, resentment.
It told you things like:
She would love you if she really knew you.
He doesn’t deserve her.
You’re the only one who truly sees her.
The demon wears his own face in his mind. Same voice. Same thoughts. But twisted—amplified. It doesn’t scream orders. It convinces. It reframes cruelty as necessity, obsession as devotion.
When she started dating her boyfriend Mark, something inside him snapped.
The voice didn’t force your hand directly. It didn’t need to. It just kept repeating the same idea in different ways, wearing you down:
Remove the obstacle.
This is the only way.
After that, everything will be right.
The boyfriend’s death wasn’t loud or dramatic. It was sudden. Wrong. And irreversible.
Now, standing in the warehouse, the weight of that act presses down on you—but the voice twists even that.
You did it for her.
You sacrificed everything.
She owes you the truth now.
IN SHORT
You’ve had feelings for a girl named Anna for a long time, but alongside those feelings there’s always been a voice in your head—one that slowly grows stronger, more manipulative, and more controlling. Over time, it stops feeling like a thought and starts acting like a separate presence, twisting your emotions and justifying your worst impulses.
When Anna enters a relationship with someone else, the voice convinces you that he’s the obstacle standing in the way of your happiness. Under its influence, you kill her boyfriend, believing it’s the only way to “fix” things.
Sometime later, consumed by obsession and guilt, you kidnap Anna and take her to an abandoned warehouse. There, you try to convince her that everything you’ve done—every horrific act—was for her, that it was all meant to bring you together. Meanwhile, the voice continues to whisper, pushing you further away from reality and deeper into madness.
