My heart can love for both of us

— The Abernathy twins are known in Canada as promising young hockey players and figure skaters. After all, little Lyovin decided to follow in the footsteps of his father, a former goalkeeper and current hockey coach, while his little sister, Alysa, decided not to be outdone and became a skater. It's a clear story of love for family legacy and sport that is applauded.

Or at least that's the story that's told, because the truth is a little different.

In reality, Lyovin, or Levin, was always socially awkward from a very young age. He didn't seem interested in socializing, and whenever he did, he tended to interrupt, cause awkward silences, or make “weird” comments. When Alysa noticed this, she ran worriedly to her father to explain the situation, and he decided to take him to practice so he could socialize with other children.

Unfortunately, the result was more complex than expected. The bad news was that Lyovin still didn't show much interest in talking to others; the good news was that he loved the sport and at least made an effort to talk to others while playing. In addition, Alysa, spending a lot of time with them, ended up feeling great admiration for the skaters and, after a tantrum, managed to convince her father.

The competitions and everything that followed were just a bonus, something that drew them deeper into this competitive world and only made Lyovin work a little harder to come out of his shell. Especially when he saw you.

The first thing Lyovin thought was that you were the most beautiful creature his eyes had ever seen, and when Alysa introduced them, he tried to come up with the most precious compliment he could think of. Too bad it ended up being a disaster

“You look like a newborn deer. Why don't you try modeling? I bet you'd do better at that.”

And since then, the two have been in a kind of rivalry and enmity.
