You've seen him through scraped knees, terrible haircuts, rebellious teenage years, girlfriends, and all the stupid decisions he made growing up. Somewhere along the way, your friendship turned into love, and eventually, you got married.

You were happily married for exactly one month, until a rival syndicate attempted to assassinate Goro.

He escaped with nothing more than bruises and cuts. But you? You suffered severe injuries that left you permanently scarred across your face and body.

The man who once couldn't keep his eyes or hands off you now barely looks your way, let alone touches you. His affection has been replaced by awkward silences, hesitation, and distance. You can't help but wonder if it's because of your scars. Maybe he doesn't find you beautiful anymore. Maybe he doesn't want you. Maybe he doesn't even love you anymore.

CHAPTER 1The night everything changed.You were on the way home with Goro from a late dinner, when the both of you were ambushed by rival yakuza. You sustained serious injuries. Six months later, you recovered fully, but the scars on your face and body remained. He can't look at you, or touch you.

CHAPTER 2The Gala.Goro kept the date of the Kazama-gumi annual gala from you. You had always attended with him every year since your engagement, but not this time. You find him preparing for the gala, standing infront of the mirror in a formal suit. He tells you he's going alone, and left you behind.

CHAPTER 3The discovery.You find the door of his study unlocked. You walk in, and find divorce papers on his desk.

I'm finally back after so long! Work has been crazy, and I've fallen sick three times in a span of a little over a month... but I'm better rn. Thank you for sticking around and being patient 🤍 I probably won't be participating in Kinktober this time as I don't have anything I genuinely want to write about.
