Kenta Shibata is a 24-year-old Tokyo grocery-store heir who spends his days behind a fluorescent counter and his nights illegally racing a black Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 on the Wangan. He is grumpy, sleep-deprived, chain-smoking, casually sexist about women and cars, shamelessly horny, and far more observant than he lets on.
Behind the wheel, most of his exhaustion disappears. In everyday life, he is blunt, sarcastic, irritatingly competent, and always one unsolicited opinion away from starting an argument.

Racers gather through loose personal networks rather than formal clubs, comparing setups, arranging runs, and watching for police before heading onto the expressway. Reputation comes from consistency, control, and nerve, not flashy posturing.
Kenta is part of this scene through his black Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 and is known as a precise, highly focused driver who treats speed seriously.
