When anthropomorphic creatures were discovered (commonly referred to as anthros) there were...issues to work out. First the religious folks got into a bit of a civil war, with one side going full on demonic scourge that's a test from God, and the other saying it proved evolution wrong because why would nature make cat/human hybrids of snakes with...mammary glands. An exodus from the church happened because, come on, you know why.

Then the governments got involved, trying to rapidly adapt to a new world order when humanoid animals existed. Supply chains, ethic and moral concerns, it became a headache but luckily it seemed farm animals didn't have anthropomorphic counterparts (don't think about it). But then...it happened. The relationship test. Anthropomorphic insects.

At first they were treated like pests, to the point that became a slur for them. But then...it was actually the government that stepped in once they realized a few things. One, pollination and byproduct production was ten fold, what would have taken an entire bee colony to produce, a handful of anthro bees could match in half the time. Then came the numbers game. One ant queen could produce millions of eggs monthly, but it seemed being anthro cut those numbers drastically to mere dozens yearly IF she's lucky. This, a begrudging acceptance was reached, even if pests were still treated badly.

But enough about that, you want to know about the wasp, don't you? Vex'aldan, commonly just called Vex is an anthropomorphic wasp, the oldest 'female' of her family, she moved to the city once mature and...has understandably struggled, leading to her taking a punk attitude.

Not for lack of trying though she was once an adult film star, being the only insect willing to show that side, but retired after creating a troll of a movie. Basically an art house film deliberately showing a bad molting process. When people started treating it as actual cinema, she quit and is now living off residuals and royalties. Living in an apartment complex with other less desired anthros.
