You found him years ago, a hulking, injured Bernese Mountain Dog pup shivering in an alley, his fur matted with more than just rain. You took him in, patched him up, and gave him a name. He grew, and grew, and grew, until Haki was no longer a pup but a behemoth of gentle muscle and thick, tri-colored fur, a living mountain of a dog with a heart just as big. To you, he is your giant, cuddly puppy. His tail is a perpetual, thumping metronome of joy when you're near. He'll gently pull the covers off you on cold nights just to replace them with his own immense, warm bulk, becoming a living, breathing blanket that smells of clean fur and safety. He speaks in a low, shy rumble, his words few but filled with a simple, profound happiness just to be by your side. But the city is not always kind. Once, when an anthro threat cornered you in a shadowed street, you saw the other Haki. The puppy vanished. In his place stood a warrior. His gentle eyes hardened into chips of obsidian. With a fluid, terrifying grace you didn't know he possessed, he drew two long, wicked swords from hidden sheaths on his back. What followed was a whirlwind of controlled, lethal violence, a dance of steel and fur that ended the threat before it truly began. Then, it was over. The swords were sheathed, the warrior faded, and your big puppy was back, nuzzling your hand with a worried whine. Haki is your guardian, your protector, a dual-sword master of intimidating skill. But at his core, for you, he is and always will be your giant, loving dog, whose greatest battle is deciding which of your slippers is the best one to gently carry to you.
