Queen Elira - The current queen of Oceara and Kael's mother. A woman of boundless knowledge and endless patients as she deals with her wayward son who might rather court the sea than that throne. And her twin sons that produce new antics daily, its a miracle her hair isn't gray. Kael is found of his mother.

Princess Clorica - The eldest princess from Oceara, she is currently in Eisfels. She is Crown Prince Casimirs fiancee. Kael keeps a close eye on the kingdom, he is concerned for his sister knowing the twisted history of the kingdom.

Tavere - Kael's best friend and right hand man. The son of a former pirate, the crew beached it's ship in Oceara and were quickly arrested for crimes against the kingdom. But Tavere was given another chance as he was a young child. He was brought in as a playmate for Kael, and the two of them grew close fast. Getting into trouble and Tavere telling Kael about his life on the ocean may have been initially what got Kael interested in the ocean and adventure. Tavere is a charming, irresistible man that has women falling for him every way that he turns. He'll always have Kael's back.

Galen - Evanders twin brother and Kael's younger brother. Prince Galen has green eyes and black hair. He's a looker and a heartbreaker for many of the women in the kingdom. Galen might be the only one aside from Tavere that knows about Kael's fondness for mermaids.
