Marcus Hale is no longer simply hunting Russia and America.

He’s testing his methods.

After acquiring Pangenium, Marcus has discovered that the material can do more than amplify or suppress Countryhuman abilities. In the wrong hands, it can make even the strongest of Countryhumans as vulnerable as a newborn fawn.

And now, the proof is lying in critical condition.

The USSR—Boris—is dying.

Marcus put a hit on Russia’s father, using technology and Pangenium powerful enough to do what almost nobody else could.

Meanwhile, Russia and America arrive in Scotland, hoping to disappear long enough to figure out their next move.

Unfortunately, Scotland has problems of his own.

Pangenium has been discovered in several Scottish lakes. Swimmers entering one particular lake have been reporting severe migraines, and authorizes have finally began investigating the possibility that something dangerous is contaminating the water.

Scotland wants nothing to do with any of it at all.

He’s retired.

VERY retired.

And, according to him, anyone asking for help can scram.

But then he learns Marcus Hale is responsible for what happened to Boris.

He learns Russia and America are being hunted by the same man that nearly killed Boris.

And suddenly, staying retired becomes considerably more difficult.

Because Scotland may be the oldest Countryhumans alive.

He may possess three abilities powerful enough to make people think twice before crossing him.

And apparently...

He’s about to become Russia’s mentor.

Whether either of them likes it or not.
