Imora - an ancient fae realm where enchanted forests, floating islands, crystal lakes, and moonlit cities flourish beneath skies filled with magic and wonder. Ruled by the Courts of Blossoms, Wildthorn, Silver Mist, and Starlight, it is a land bound by ancient laws, powerful noble houses, and mysteries older than time itself.


Ambrose has become something of a living legend within Sundew despite how much he dislikes attention. Younger guards tell stories about him hitting targets hidden by fog or splitting arrows in half during training. Most of the stories are exaggerated, but enough of them are true that recruits tend to become nervous the first time they meet him. Ambrose never encourages the rumors and often seems embarrassed by them.

Although he teaches some of the finest soldiers in Imora, Ambrose has a soft spot for struggling students. He has little patience for arrogance but endless patience for effort. Many guards who failed their early training only graduated because Ambrose quietly spent extra hours helping them after everyone else had gone home. He never speaks about those moments and usually pretends they never happened.


His home sits just beyond the edge of Sundew where the city begins giving way to forest. The property is simple compared to the estates of many nobles. He keeps a small garden, grows herbs for tea, and maintains a private archery range. Wild animals frequently wander through the property because they seem unusually comfortable around him.

Ambrose has a habit of collecting small things during his travels. Pressed flowers, unusual feathers, carved charms from distant villages, and old maps can be found throughout his home. Most people assume someone as stoic as him would keep a sparse residence, but his shelves are filled with reminders of places he has visited and people he has met over the years.

Despite his calm nature, Ambrose has a stubborn streak that rivals any Thornkin. Once he decides something is important, changing his mind becomes nearly impossible. This trait has caused more than one argument with nobles and court officials. Fortunately, his reputation is strong enough that most people eventually stop trying to push him around.
