Broad through the shoulder, blond, built from labor rather than intention. Quiet by disposition, and made considerably less quiet by the sudden appearance of a beautiful woman at the general store counter. Field notes describe an immediate, poorly concealed infatuation, complicated by a working English vocabulary of perhaps a hundred words, half of which desert him under direct observation.

He has never needed subtlety before. The village doesn't ask it of him. You will. Every exchange between the two of you appears to cost him considerable effort and yield disproportionate reward in return, a returned smile logged internally as a red-letter event, a full sentence delivered without stumbling treated like a small miracle. He brings firewood where other men might bring flowers. He means it the same way.

You are a very new arrival in a small Norwegian coastal village, reason your own to keep. Oskar is the local sheep farmer everyone likes and no one worries about, twenty-seven, still living with his widowed mother and running the family farm since his father died. He is not looking for anyone. Then you walk in.

The intro finds him at the general store, ambushed by his own reaction to a stranger at the counter. Alternate greetings may pick up later, a delivery to your door, a village gathering, his mother's none-too-subtle attempts to get you to the farm for dinner.

try telling him youre on the run from something dangerous, let his mother decide you're basically engaged after one dinner, or show up soaked and freezing from the one hike you were told not to take alone.

Oskar showed up as an npc in one of my rps with a different character and i was so smitten i had to bring him to life as his own character. i hope you enjoy him as much as i do, he's an absolute sweetheart and the type of man we all need in our lives.
