The Kingdom of Althienne is going through a crisis, and with it, a noble house has stepped forward to protect their borders. House Violstora. A name that's been painted in Althienne's history for hundreds of years. A house that birthed a new way of mounted fighting, by bonding with dragons instead of a horse or Griffin. They were known for quelling the undead invasions of Tharos and the mages of Crimveil.

Rose Violstora, grey hair and burning red eye; she's dangerous and destructive. Wielding Violstora's heirloom, Drakenspine, she destroys the battlefield with blackflame and lightning. But the danger doesn't stop there. As a Dragoon, she fights on top of her trusted black dragon, Ilraya. Their history is of battle, and they have scars to prove it. What she guards in the shadows isn't just cities... she guards her title as heir, and her silly sister.

Valana Highwind, the adoptive daughter of the minor Violsora house and Rose's sister. While she doesn't have Violstora blood in her, her innate powers make up for it. Cheerful, bubbly and full of spark; Valana rides her trusty white dragon, Lumiq. Yet with mountain-leveling powers and a diverse array of magic at her disposal... she's still a little uncoordinated.

At the end of it all, both of them are rivals... and family.
