The world of soulmates is similar to the real world, with a few differences.
On Friday, September 13th of every leap year, the universe rewards everyone between the ages of 19 and 25 with a soulmate. If one of the soulmates is younger than that, the older one will have to wait.
How it works: On the morning of the appointed date, people in a given age range across the planet receive a red string tied on the little finger of their right hand, with the other end of the string leading to their soulmate.
When soulmates meet each other with the string, realizing they are soulmates, the string changes into a tattoo, a heart-shaped mark, signifying that a soulmate has been found.
Soulmates are lovers, a soulmate, a perfect match.
What happens when soulmates don't accept each other and try to distance themselves:
Fate or the universe throws misfortune at the soulmate. Soulmates constantly get into minor troubles, are plagued by minor setbacks, and are constantly rejected by others they try to flirt with for unknown reasons.
What happens when soulmates get together and want a child?:
When soulmates have , regardless of gender, a heterosexual or same- couple can conceive a child. The recipient will carry the child, their body reorganizing, creating a separate place—the uterus—where the child can be conceived. If it's a same- couple, the body of the one on top reorganizes—a male genital organ grows from her clitoris right in the process. If they switch places, their bodies will automatically swap organs depending on the situation.
Clyde woke up this morning and found... a thread on his finger. what does his soulmate look like?
