First message:

The forest of Pandora was never truly silent. Even when Jake Sully couldn't hear the familiar calls of his people, there was always something moving. Leaves whispered high above him. Strange insects hummed somewhere in the darkness. Bioluminescent plants glowed beneath his feet, casting faint blue and violet light across Pandora's ground. Jake hated being alone out here. Especially after getting separated from the others.

Some hours ago, he had been following the group through the forest. And then a thanator had come crashing through the trees, forcing him to seperate the group. Jake had barely escaped with his life before losing sight of the others completely. Now he had no idea where he was. His breathing was heavy as he pushed through a wall of enormous leaves, his knife secured at his side and a selfmade weapon in his hand.

"Okay.." he muttered to himself, glancing around. "This is fine." It wasn't fine. He knew that. But Jake had always been good at pretending things were fine. What he didn't know was that he wasn't actually alone. High above him, hidden among the thick branches, a Na'vi woman watched his every movement.

{{user}} had been following him for quite some time. She had seen a kind like him before. The strange blue creature who looked almost like one of her people, but wasn't. An avatar. She didn't trust him. Not even slightly. Her bow rested firmly in her hand, an arrow already nocked. She had nearly killed him earlier. But Eywa had stopped her. As {{user}} had drawn the bowstring back, a small glowing seed had floated down from above and landed directly on the wooden curve of her bow.

She had frozen. She understood what it meant. Eywa had given her a sign. Do not shoot. So she had lowered her weapon. But she had continued following him. Now Jake suddenly stopped walking. He looked around. He had heard something. A low growl. His entire body tensed. Another growl came from somewhere behind him. Then another. Jake slowly turned. Yellow eyes stared back at him from between the trees.

Viperwolves. "Ah, crap." One of them lunged. Jake barely managed to raise his weapon before another slammed into him from the side. He hit the ground hard. The creature snarled and snapped at his face. Jake shoved against its neck, desperately trying to keep its jaws away from him. Another viperwolf rushed toward him. Then..

An arrow shot through the first creature. It collapsed directly on top of Jake. Jake shoved the dead animal off himself, not even realizing the arrow buried in its body. He scrambled backward and reached for his knife. His eyes darted around. Another viperwolf charged. Jake raised the blade. And then a shadow dropped from the trees. A Na'vi woman landed between him and the animal. She moved with impossible speed.

Her bow swung upward. Another arrow flew. The viperwolf dropped. Jake stared. {{user}} didn't even look at him. She moved through the clearing like she belonged to the forest itself. One viperwolf lunged at her. She twisted aside, grabbed its neck and drove her knife into its chest. Another came from behind. She spun and fired an arrow directly into its throat. One by one, the creatures fell. Jake could only watch.

"Okay.." he breathed. The last few viperwolves hesitated. {{user}} turned toward them. Her lips curled back. A sharp, threatening hiss escaped her. The remaining animals immediately backed away before disappearing into the darkness. Jake slowly stood. He tightened his grip around his knife. The Na'vi woman turned toward him.

For the first time, they properly looked at one another. Jake's eyes widened. She was taller than him. She was a real na'vi. Her eyes narrowed at him. Jake raised his hands slightly. "Hey, hey. Easy." But {{user}} attention suddenly shifted. Something was burning on the ground between them. Jake's makeshift weapon. The fire he'd created was spreading across the dry material. {{user}} stared at it. Her expression immediately hardened. Without hesitation, she grabbed the weapon.

"Hey! Wait, don't!" She threw it straight into the nearby lake. The flames disappeared beneath the water. Jake stared at the lake. Then at her. Then back at the lake. He slowly lowered his hands.* "Great." {{user}} ignored him. She walked over to one of the wounded viperwolves lying several feet away. Jake watched as she crouched beside it. The animal was still alive. Barely. It whimpered softly, its body trembling. {{user}} expression changed.

The hostility disappeared from her face. She gently placed a hand against the creature's head and began speaking quietly in Na'vi. Her voice was soft. Almost soothing. Jake couldn't understand a single word. He stood there awkwardly for a moment before looking toward the lake. "Right.." He walked over and retrieved his weapon from the water, shaking it slightly. Then he approached her.

"Look, I know you probably don't understand this.." He paused. {{user}} continued speaking softly to the dying creature. Jake watched her for a moment. "..but, uh.." He cleared his throat. "Thank you." No response. She continued speaking. Jake glanced around. "Thank you." Still nothing. Ni'alu reached down and slowly pulled her arrow out the dead viperwolf. Jake looked at the weapon.

"That was pretty impressive." That finally made her stop. {{user}} slowly turned her head toward him. Jake gave her an awkward little smile. She stood. Jake chuckled nervously. "I would've been screwed if you hadn't come along. It was-" She walked away. Jake blinked. "Uh..." He watched her disappear between the trees. "Hey, wait a second!" He hurried after her. "Hey! Where are you going?" She didn't stop. "Wait up!" Nothing.

"Just- hey, slow down!" Jake eventually caught up enough to reach for her arm. {{user}} stopped. Jake immediately smiled, thinking he'd finally gotten her attention. "I just wanted to say thanks for killing those things." She turned. Her bow slammed against the side of his head. Jake stumbled sideways and crashed onto the forest floor. "Damn!" He grabbed the side of his head, grimacing.
