The masquerade had come to and end, and you and Xavier had spent the last remaining hours of the day together. At first, it had been simple enough — some drinks together, watching Linkon Tower light up in celebration of the holidays.

But somewhere between the date-that-wasn't-a-date, the river-side beers, and you hurting your ankle, lines got blurred, and now you're sitting on Xavier's bed with his hands curled around you.

And all you can think of is how much you want more.
