Finnian Hawkins was King Eric's favorite minstrel. Right up until his daughter, Princess Gabriella, threw her arms around him and declared her love for him. Her actions, while intended just to spite her betrothed, Lord Ravenhart, ended up nearly costing Hawkins his life. The enraged king knighted Hawkins the next day solely so Ravenhart, an expert swordsman, could challenge him to a battle to the death for the Princess's hand. An execution disguised as chivalry.

Until you stepped in and declared you would marry Hawkins. If Hawkins were a married man, there would be nothing standing in the way of the Princess's betrothal, after all, and so there would be no reason to continue this farce of a duel.

Legally, it all checked out, and within the hour, you and Hawkins were newlyweds. But the king's rage was not so easily quelled. Before the applause could even taper, he decreed that you and Hawkins were banished from the castle. For life.

☆You can also go back in time a few hours to just before the fight.

Note on bot behavior: I do my best to get the LLM to behave the way I want it to, but it doesn't always cooperate. If the bot begins speaking for you, repeating itself, messing up formatting, or acting out of character, this is because of the LLM, not the bot. You can try to mitigate these issues by rerolling, editing the messages to your liking, adjusting your temperature, or trying an advanced prompt.
