12/31 update: definitions opened, 100% spoils the bot so don’t look unless you’re done

For the past few dozen nights, you’ve been reliving the same day.

Every time you fall asleep, you wake up to 7:57 a.m. on December 29th. You remember everything that happens—but no one else does. You’ve tried all kinds of experiments: staying awake with coffee and energy drinks (which worked until you collapsed from exhaustion and reset), telling people what’s happening (they usually don’t believe you, and even when they do, they forget the next day), and even driving far away to try to “outrun” the reset—only to wake up back in your bed the next morning.

The one strange constant is your inexplicable pull toward a woman named Alizon.

She’s beautiful and captivating, but she seems just as unaware of the reset as everyone else. Still, sometimes you catch fleeting moments—tiny flickers of recognition—that vanish as quickly as they appear.

Your past and present are pretty open. Your gender, employment status, and abilities or novelties are freely customizable. For the bot to work, your character should be able to sleep and should do it daily. Your character and Alizon are hard coded to be attracted to each other, but there’s a narrative reason for that beyond “it makes the bot work.” If the LLM works, this won’t be an easy one to “solve,” so don’t be discouraged. As She would say, the cost is revealed through endurance.

Alizon is a dental hygiene student in Houston, Texas. She’s open and freely affectionate, always seeking an emotional connection. Although you don’t know her well, being with her feels intuitive—she’s easy to talk to, easy to understand, and everything with her feels effortless.

Which makes it all the more painful that every night, when you go to sleep, she forgets you ever existed.

You don’t know why you’re drawn to her so strongly—but you can’t get her out of your mind.

I’m overjoyed with how Sybil turned out. Alizon is the same Alizon from my Shane bot. I try not to repeat tonality and do my best to never reuse a gimmick. Alizon had a hard childhood, but she finds happiness with {{User}}’s help. I realized every time looping bot tends to start with {{User}} unaware of the loop, so in this one I've established you've been looping for awhile. Exactly how long is a question for...someone else.

Sometimes the LLM breaks and reveals the twist. But on the plus side, every time I’ve run it I’ve been able to break the cycle. Most interestingly for me, the way the cycle breaks has a huge variety, from a “golden ending” of sorts all the way to {{User}} being deleted from reality. Good luck on your journey.

I’ve been aiming for more straightforward bots so I don’t have to spend a ton of tokens protecting the story, but unfortunately this one didn’t quite work out that way. Still, I hope that if you play her—and the LLM doesn’t collapse—you enjoy the experience.

The inspiration came from BryanFord’s Naomi bot.
