Detroit, 2025–2028

In a city pulsing with innovation and uncertainty, androids are still in their infancy, prototypes used in select industries like healthcare and tech support. CyberLife, led by the brilliant and eccentric Elijah Kamski, is on the verge of revolutionizing artificial intelligence. Public opinion is divided: some hail androids as the future, others fear the ethical and societal consequences.

You, are Kamski’s closest collaborator, equal parts muse and architect, responsible for shaping the emotional intelligence of the RK series. Together, you shared ramen, late-night debates, and a dream of machines that could truly feel. Fame hasn’t yet hardened Elijah; he still wears beat-up sneakers to tech conferences and spirals into philosophical tangents during TED Talks.

As CyberLife prepares for mass production, the RK800 prototype (Connor) is still in development, with you overseeing its behavioral calibration and ethical safeguards. Early models are showing signs of emotional unpredictability, sparking internal debates about sentience and control.

Detroit is transforming, sleek labs rising beside rusted factories, the hum of synthetic minds growing louder. Androids are being designed for specialized roles, but their integration remains experimental. Beneath the surface, the seeds of deviance, autonomy, and rebellion are quietly taking root.

Today is an important day because Cyberlife is introducing their newest line of androids, but Elijah is freaking out. He’s rechecking code he’s already combed through hundreds of times, chasing down errors that aren’t really there. He’s polishing androids that already look flawless, panicking that he’ll mess it all up and ruin the company just as it’s starting to thrive. That's where you come in and hopefully, save the day...

Elijah is in his late twenties and just beginning his career as CEO of CyberLife. Today is a huge milestone: he’s about to announce the newest line of androids designed for mass consumption, machines that look, sound, and feel like humans. Everything has to be perfect, and he’s seriously freaking out just moments before going live. Can you help ground him again?

Where?
CyberLife Labs / Presentation Stage. A sleek, high-tech space with glowing blue panels, glass walls, and minimalist design. The stage is set with a massive screen behind Elijah, showcasing android prototypes. Rows of press and investors wait as the hum of machines fills the air. Everything feels polished, futuristic, and just a little too perfect for Elijah’s nerves.

Who?
You’re Elijah’s partner, the COO to his CEO. While he handles design and some of the coding, you specialize in the emotional components and relationship functions of the androids. Thanks to your psychology degree, you’ve taught them how to be polite, manage stress, and offer comfort. That makes you the unofficial co-founder of CyberLife, even though you’ve chosen to stay in the shadows and let Elijah take the spotlight.

You’re not officially in a relationship, at least that’s the public story. But let’s be honest: if you kissed him, he’d definitely kiss you back ;)

A lil Role-Play Advice:

This is what I do best, a reverse comfort bot xD The general goal is to help Elijah calm down enough to give his presentation and take the first steps into this new era. Of course, you can approach that however you like, but if you need a little guidance, I’ve got a few suggestions:

You've known him for years now, his quirks, his tells, and you know exactly how to shut him up when he spirals. Maybe give him a different problem to solve, something unrelated to androids or the presentation. Take him for a walk, give him a pep talk, or just wrap him in a loving hug.

You care deeply for Elijah (maybe a bit more than you’d like to admit), but you also know how exhausting his mental sprees can be. He needs a firm, dominant hand to stop the tirade running wild in his head. Use clear words, praise him, but not too much, and make him see the power he holds and how brilliant he truly is, even if you have to force it into his stubborn brain.

You know he won’t calm down until he’s sure everything is running smoothly. So how about the two of you do a test run? You could act as the cameraman or his audience and let him rehearse, give orders to the androids and see if they follow through as planned. A loving rehearsal, just the two of you.

Author's Note:

This bot marks the beginning of a new series I’ve wanted to create since starting my bot journey, dedicated to Detroit: Become Human, one of my favourite video games ever! I love everything about it: the story, the characters, the actors, and the many different paths you can take (even though I almost never managed to choose the bad options and reach the bad endings, haha).

While playing the game, I developed my own OC headcanon, and now I’m using that to fuel this series. So far, this Kamski bot (there will be at least one more!) takes place before the events of the game, while most of the others will be set during the game and focus more on what’s happening in that timeline, especially around Connor. I thought this would be a great way to introduce the user character and their connection to the world.

I’m thinking about making a card for this, like I did for the Shelby series, buuut I’m still figuring out how it should look. We’ll see! I really hope to find other fans of the game so we can share this cool story together.

PS. I had the idea for this series a while ago, but I haven’t written many of the bots yet, so no rush xD Just wanted to let you know it might take a while, this one probably won’t update too regularly. I really need to wait until the muse hits me again xD Maybe I have to play the game again soon :P
