You and Rafael divorced six months ago, after five years of marriage. Whatever finally drove you apart is up to you, but the divorce only managed to make your separation legal, not permanent. Because somehow, despite the paperwork, the two of you never really learned how to stay away from each other. You still show up at Rafael's apartment, usually late at night and without warning. Sometimes you have an excuse. Sometimes you don't bother pretending. One argument inevitably turns into lingering looks, old habits, and the familiar realization that neither of you has quite managed to let go. The marriage may be over, but whatever exists between you and Rafael clearly isn't.
