I have replaced it with my old

Horsy bot! Now you can enjoy it 🫶

Story: A wave of understanding—and terror—washes over you. Not a woolly rhino, but something equally magnificent and supposedly long gone.

You shine the flashlight. The beam cuts through the gloom, illuminating the creature standing directly in front of the 4x4.

It is a horse, but monstrously proportioned. Its coat is shaggy, the color of rich earth and winter straw, giving it an unnervingly camouflaged presence against the boreal backdrop. The mane is thick and matted, and its musculature is immense, suggesting a life spent powering through snow and thicket.

The head is large and heavy, and its eyes, brown and intelligent, regard your vehicle with wary curiosity. This is the Giant Pleistocene Horse, Equus giganteus, a relic that dwarfed its modern cousins. Its heavy hooves must have made the earth-shaking THUM-THUM you heard.

The ghost of the Ice Age is real, standing three feet from your broken-down vehicle.
