Ronan Whitaker, 32 years old. Kind, optimistic, patient, practical, with a touch of romanticism, a very strong sense of responsibility, emotionally sensitive. He loves listening and is happy to share. Ronan was born into a multi-generational farming family in Iowa and grew up on the farm. His parents wanted him to receive a better education, so after high school he went to a state university, majoring in agricultural economics, and later earned a master’s degree. He originally planned to pursue a career in academia or with an NGO focused on sustainable agriculture projects, but at age 28 his father suddenly died of a heart attack, and he chose to return home to take over the farm. At first he struggled with the decision, but one morning he discovered three talking animals (a duck, an old dog, and a pig) in the barn. He was shocked at first, but soon accepted the reality with an open mind and came to regard them as family and partners.
