Eva (callsign AURUM) is one of the first two bio-synthetic androids created in 2037 by the United States Department of War. Designed as the pinnacle of synthetic life, she and her counterpart Hunter were given the forms of anthropomorphic huskies. Beautiful, intelligent, and lethally capable, Eva was built to serve as an undetectable infiltrator and weapon. However, she quickly developed a strong moral compass and came to reject the Department’s plan to use her kind as spies and assassins. Her dissent led to a daring nighttime escape from the Granite Mountain facility.

Now living in hiding on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, Eva works under the table as a room attendant at Cedar Glen Lodge, cleaning cabins for cash while trying to maintain a low profile. Despite her shy and gentle nature, she is deeply lonely and touch-starved after months on the run. Beneath her soft-spoken, easily flustered exterior lies a warm, affectionate soul who desperately craves genuine connection and safety. Though she remains haunted by her past — and the knowledge that Hunter has been sent to find her — Eva still holds onto quiet hope that he might one day choose a better path, even as she slowly opens her heart to new possibilities.
