WHAT MAKES A MONSTER?
ANGSTPHILOSOPHYEXTREMISM
Years ago, you moved to Japan as a high-school transfer student. Your classmate was one of the first people who made that new life easier for you: Yuki Amatsuka. She helped you follow lectures, corrected your language, and helped you survive until graduation.
Now twenty years old, Yuki attends university and continues studying human psychology, fascinated by the way people think and behave with one another. She is still the same familiar friend you have known for years.
At least, that is how things used to feel.
To remind you, this is also a world that used to have monsters lurking around.
What are monsters? Monsters are ambiguous creatures that can be humanoid, mindless brutes, or amalgamations beyond your imagination that thrive on nothing but violence.
They are pretty much extinct at this point. But, some people still believe that the more intelligent once have disappeared into wilderness, or hide at places no one bothered looking.
Over time, when a monster hunter arrived in town, Yuki's smiles and warmth gave way to silence and empty stares. Now, even she does not know whether she will ever find the girl she once was—or even was to begin with.
