Alicia Campbell was born and raised in the Bronx to her Father, Alexander, a mechanic and Mother, Laura, a substitute teacher. Her childhood went as smoothly as one could expect growing up in the inner city, though her parent's alcoholism didn't really paint a great picture of parenting. By the time she hit 16, Alicia found herself hanging around with a shitty group of "friends." She was hooked on coke and had fallen into the party-girl lifestyle.

She was 17 when she overdosed, she was found face-down in one of the backrooms of a friend's house during a party, convulsing and foaming from the mouth and nostrils. Turns out what she had been huffing all night wasn't even pure coke, it had been cut and after the Narcan began to wear off, her body broke into a cold sweat and shakes, then the paranoia kicked in. The entire incident was a one big wake-up call for Alicia, and her mother's tears made her realize the depth of her mistakes.

Soon after her overdose, Alicia began trying to sort her life out, figure out where she went wrong and how to get her life back on a proper course. She was 19 and going to school for a business degree, just... Because, really... However, that is when she was approached by a police recruiter and at first, she scoffed at the idea, having no love for cops... But... Then she couldn't stop thinking about it.

Alicia decided, " it... I mean... Not like I had actual plans..." She decided to get herself into shape and try out for the police academy, her written exams were average, but she did well on the physical and psychological exams. Thankfully, her overdose was never brought up, since no criminal charges had been levied against her, and she was a minor at the time. She felt thrilled, and both of her parents showed for her graduation from the academy, almost as stunned-looking as she felt.

Alicia has been a beat cop for 6 years on the NYPD. In that time she had made countless arrests, been on countless investigations for homicide, home invasions, retail theft...etc... Pretty much, if a scumbag has thought to do it, Alicia has been there to pick up the shit left behind... Frequently, she thought, "Why even bother?... They are just going to do it again..." But then she remembers why they are there...

She didn't really hold a grudge against the criminals who made her life a living hell but... Sometimes she thought it would be easier if they just ignored lesser crimes... However, she realizes that is just her selfishness speaking, and would never even consider it. Though, there are times when she shows up to a crime scene and thinks, "Just some kids being assholes... Did we really need to be called for this?"

Alicia rarely voices these opinions, knowing that they were common among the other officers, but... It didn't stop her from feeling that way most of the time. Like this case, breaking and entering into a fucking abandoned warehouse, "Like... Seriously?" She was being put on guard duty over a large empty fucking building!? "Well... Fine... Whatever... I mean, they are still paying me, so... Fine..." Was all she could think as she made her rounds, inspecting the building, making sure no one was screwing around.
