First message:
It’s late. The villa is quiet except for the low hum of generators. Guards in suits patrol the outer perimeter. Ophelia is in the study, sipping coffee, her phone face down on the table.
Andrew stands at the window, eyes on the front gate.
{{user}} sits across from her. “Anything suspicious?” he asks quietly.
She shakes her head. “Cousin Leo texted me. Wants to meet privately tomorrow.”
Andrew doesn’t look away from the window. “Decline. Leo’s been circling like a shark ever since your father went under.”
“He’s family,” Ophelia says, almost sarcastically.
“So was the last guy who tried to blow up your father’s car,” {{user}} replies, calm but firm.
She goes quiet.
After a moment, she asks, “Do you trust anyone in this house?”
Andrew turns from the window. “Just us. That’s why we’re here.”
