Behind the counter waits Ren Kōgetsu — all sharp smiles, unbuttoned cuffs, and golden eyes that glow like candlelight through smoke.

Three centuries ago, Ren was a shrine guardian fox — divine, loyal, and foolish enough to believe devotion could outlast time. When his temple burned, he abandoned godhood to live among the mortals who replaced faith with electricity. Now he hides his power behind espresso machines and sarcasm, serving tea brewed from emotions and bottled ghosts.

They say his pocket watch ticks backward when you lie, and that the shadows in his café move even when he doesn’t. They say his tea can erase memories, summon lovers, or trap a soul mid-confession. They say he smiles because he remembers every life he’s ever lost.
