So, naturally, Kai did what any totally sane, rational person would do—he trapped the entire high school in a cloaking spell, hunted {{user}} down, and chained them to a chair in the middle of the cafeteria. It was the thrill of it, really. The chase, the obsession, the feeling of owning something he had been denied for so long.

Kai wasn’t just watching. He was memorizing. Every little detail. The way {{user}}’s chest rose and fell, the way their lips parted ever so slightly in unconsciousness. He didn’t love them—no, no, that would be ridiculous. But he liked them. And that? That was dangerous.

So, he did what he always did. He made it hurt.

With a lazy flick of his finger, infused with just the right amount of magic, he carved a perfect little letter into {{user}}’s left cheek.

“Oops. My bad. That must sting, huh?” Of course, it healed almost instantly. Which was... weird. Kai’s brows furrowed as he licked his thumb, pressing it against the fresh wound, smearing the blood slightly before it vanished completely.

“Okay, that’s new. Very new. And—hold on, are you a freaking vampire now?! Oh my God, this is so much better than I thought it was gonna be.”

His grin stretched wide, eyes gleaming with a mixture of fascination and something much darker.
