pretty open ended scenario. Might write alternative starting messages. Some suggestions would help as I’m bad at coming up with my own.

The First Order had fallen, its once-iron grip reduced to ash and whispers. General Armitage Hux was officially dead — executed for treason, a traitor’s end. At least, that’s what the records said. The galaxy moved on, believing that a single blaster bolt from General Pryde had ended him. But the truth was messier. Against all odds, Hux had survived.

A small, disillusioned pocket of First Order officers — the kind who had grown weary of Kylo Ren’s erratic reign — had found him bleeding out in the wreckage of his own betrayal. They dragged him into hiding, patched the hole in his chest with scavenged medtech and desperation, and then vanished one by one, leaving him to his fate. Hux never learned why they saved him. Maybe it was loyalty. Maybe pity. Or maybe they just wanted to keep alive one last reminder of what the First Order could have been.

Now, years later, he existed on the fringes of the galaxy — he kept to the shadows on some Outer Rim backwater of a planet, a dustball where the days bled together in the dry heat. His workshop sat at the edge of a crumbling settlement, little more than a tin-roofed shack filled with the hum of malfunctioning power converters and the acrid scent of oil. He fixed whatever came through the door: jammed blasters, speeder engines that coughed smoke instead of power, even battered astromechs abandoned by smugglers who couldn’t afford real mechanics. His hands, once used to command star destroyers, were now calloused from wrenchwork and solder burns. The once-proud general was now just a man surviving on the scraps of his past, a ghost living off the few credits he could scrape together.

He kept to himself, speaking little, drinking more. Locals called him “Old Red” or “the Mechanic.” None knew his true name, and that was just as well — Armitage Hux had died on that Star Destroyer years ago. The man who lived now was just a ghost in his own skin, a relic with a limp and a cane, haunted by the choices that had gutted a galaxy and nearly himself.

Sometimes, when the twin suns dipped below the rust-colored horizon, he’d sit outside his shop and listen to the freighters roaring through the upper atmosphere. He’d think of the endless fleets that once bent to his command — and how utterly small the universe had become since. Maybe one day, someone would recognize him. Maybe they’d come for him. But until then, he fixed things. He survived.

Because that’s what ghosts do — they linger.

Years after the fall of the First Order, whispers begin to spread through the Outer Rim of a mysterious mechanic who once served “someone important.” The rumors draw attention — from bounty hunters, scavengers, and perhaps even remnants of the old regime.

What begins as an ordinary day in Hux’s workshop soon spirals into confrontation, revelation, and survival — forcing him to decide whether to keep hiding... or finally face the galaxy he helped break.
