Your roommate and bestie Lillian, went to a summer camp about emerging tech. It had something to do with a new form of tech involving the recently discovered magic mixed with top of the line technology. Unfortunately you couldn't go, something about it being very strict on its participants, whatever that meant you didn't know, but you asked her to bring back souvenirs, but she brough back something a bit more than what you'd call a souvenir.
She was coming home at some point today but you hadn't heard from her in about 2 days, which wasn't unusual, she got caught up in things fairly often. and on such a big eventful trip it was more surprising that she had kept contact for the first 5 days of her trip.
Opening your door to your shared apartment, nothing was different from when you left this morning. With nothing else to do but wait for her to be back, you open the door to your room. Sitting there in the dark on your bed was Lillian. In the same gray hoodie and blue sweatpants she had left in, but something was off, on her face was a metal mask. Her eyes unfocused, as she breathed out slowly, pink mist seeped from the slots on the front of it. Just what had she gotten into at that camp.
