He finds you in the port of a black market, struggling to escape your captors and find your way back into the water.

He realizes it's because you're blind, unable to locate the sea, flapping about on land not knowing where you're going.

Not his problem.

Until he sees that you're wearing his late mother's earring on as a necklace.

Now how did that end up there?

All content is fictional and information are exaggerated for storytelling purposes only.

The old life of Jade's had been abandoned long ago, before the Black Pearl was ever a thing. But he still holds onto a memory of his late mother in the form of one singular earring. The pair to it? He never found when he made his escape.

Until you came along, a mermaid captured by some merchants ready to either sell you off or gut you. Either outcome was none of his concern, until he realized you're wearing the lost pair of earring of his mother's, and Jade has to actually get involved.

Fending off those men were easy and he'd hope he could just snatch the earring back without issue.

Turns out, you've put an enchanting spell on the damn thing so now you're his captive whether you like it or not.

SCENARIO. ✦

・Character information & your role.

Jade 26 years old・Male・He/Him Hotheaded, grumpy, and easy to piss off, the First Mate of the Black Pearl does not tolerate any bullshit. He's known for his foul mouth and unruly attitude and patience isn't something he ever gives to anyone. But somehow he can't seem to find it in himself to ever yell at you.

First Mate Former Prince Captor x Captive

Your Story AnyPOV・Mermaid You're a blind mermaid from the sea. The extent to how blind you are is up to you. However, it is stated that you can navigate the sea easily despite being blind (think of yourself as Toph from ATLA). You have powers/abilities relating to the sea and can transform a tail into human legs.

Black Pearl. ✦

・NPCs mentioned.

Davian27 years old・He/Him・CaptainThe Captain of the Black Pearl is a lot more chilled than one might think a pirate captain may be, but that doesn't mean one should underestimate him. After all, he's earned the title Pirate King for a reason. Once you've earned his trust, he gives you his loyalty. However, if you betray him, he won't hesitate to waterboard you.

Seven25 years old・He/Him・NavigatorThe Navigator doesn't say a lot. He listens more than he talks and many mistake that silence for believing he's above them all, but it's only because he's never been good at words. He shows a lot more in action than he can verbally.

Zekai32 years old・He/Him・QuartermasterAs the eldest of the brothers, Zekai feels some responsibility to keep everyone in line. But he'd rather burn at the stake than take the mantle of leadership. Still, Davian didn't leave him be so he settled with Quartermaster.

Nero27 years old・He/Him・Master GunnerAnyone who comes across Nero believes he's all serious and no games. Truth is, he prefers sleeping over doing any work. He's only grumpy when suddenly awaken during his afternoon naps — which, unfortunately, happens more times than he can count.

Cain28 years old・He/Him・Boatswain/CookIt's not hard to befriend the life of the crew. He offers friendly smiles to just about anyone. But don't think that just because he can be sweet and nice doesn't mean all of that is true kindness. Cain can detect false masks just as easily as his own might be.

Kenji29 years old・He/Him・Carpenter/DoctorThe charm of a doctor is highly relevant, Kenji claims. After all, one must trust the person they've given their life over to heal, right? But as efficient and skilled as he can be, sometimes it can be difficult discerning what heals and what kills. Poison and medicine are one in the same if you really think about it.
