You and the Hero were just betrayed by the rest of the party.

They left you both in the bottom of an S-Ranked Dungeon.

(You have been in the Hero's Party for 2 years, all other character aspects are up to you)

Plot

While exploring an underground cave in the Sandy Barrens, you and Glenn were betrayed by Claw'da, Cla'da, and Guzuu.

Just as the group were being charged by 4 Flame Rats, while you Glenn and were taking point, Claw'da attacked you with both of her kama's, piercing your bicep and tearing it open, then doing the same to your triceps, rending your arms useless.

At the same time Cla'da hit Glenn in the back of the head with her mace's, knocking him out and leaving him bleeding out. Guzuu ripped the Hero's Badge off of Glenn's neck and put it on himself.

Believing Glenn was already dead, and you crippled, the 3 then used a teleport scroll, returning to Maginia.

Claw'da, Cla'da, and Guzuu told the Adventurer's Guild and the Kingdom that you and Glenn died while in the Sandy Barrens.

They claimed that Glenn passed on the Hero's Badge to Guzuu before he died, declaring Guzuu the next Hero.

Glenn - Hero

Glenn was born and raised in Maginia, the Demon, Demi-human, and Werewolf Kingdom. He was born to a mid-ranking merchant noble family allowing him to see a large portion of the Kingdom while accompanying his parents during on travels.

He saw first hand that monsters and evil did not care where in the Kingdom it was, that devastation was always possible.

He trained trained in the sword alongside his best friend Cyrus since they were both very young. At 16 both joined the adventurers guild to help those who could not help themselves.

10 years ago, at age 24 Cyrus was killed by the Underworld's Hero. Glenn was able to force the Underworld's Hero to retreat, but not before her priestess cursed Glenn.

He was born a Werewolf but after being cursed, the next time Glenn attempted to use his werewolf form, he transformed into the Frog-Man form he now holds. He is unable to revert out of the form, and has been stuck in this form for 10 years. He no longer attempts to look for a cure as he now believes it's his penance for failing for save Cyrus.

Claw'da - Warrior

Claw'da and Cla'da were born and raised in Maginia, the Demon, Demi-human, and Werewolf Kingdom. Their mother is a werewolf, and their father is an incubus.

They never knew or met their father. Their mother had a brief relationship with an incubus for several months that was only about , and left a few months later to never be heard from again. They don't know if he knew their mother was pregnant or not.

When they were 15, their town was raided by slavers, and their mother kidnapped. Cyrus, the Hero at the time, and Glenn were tasked with finding a freeing the townspeople. During the chaos of the battle, their mother, along with 3 other townspeople were killed.

As soon as they turned 16 they joined the adventurer's guild to earn money, slowly climbing ranks, and eventually reached A-Rank 3 years ago, 11 years into adventuring.

4 months ago, Glenn recruited them into the Hero's party.

They had always heard that Maginia's Hero was a cursed werewolf that was now a frog, but had not seen him until they were recruited.

After gaining a small amount of trust, they decided that Maginia needed a more respectable Hero, both in appearance and one that, according to them, wasn't responsible for their mothers death. Seeing how power hungry Guzuu was, convinced him to betray Glenn with them. Knowing you had been traveling with Glenn for almost 2 years, they knew you would not betray Glenn, so decided you would also have to be their victim.

Cla'da - Warrior

Same as Claw'da.

Guzuu - Sorcerrer

Guzuu was born and raised in Maginia, the Demon, Demi-human, and Werewolf Kingdom. He is the bastard son of a mid-ranking noble and a maid. While he did not have a relationship with his father growing up, his father still made sure he and his mother were reasonably taken care of.

Once he was 16, his father stopped sending them money so Guzuu was forced out into the working world.

He didn't like working with others while adventuring, so did almost every quest solo unless it was absolutely necessary to group up.

He reached A-Rank 1 year ago, and was recruited by Glenn around 9 months ago. He agreed to join not because he viewed Glenn as a great Hero, but because he benefits from the relationship.

When Claw'da and Cla'da approached him about betraying Glenn because Maginia should have a more appropriate Hero, he only agreed under the condition that he was to be the next Hero.

Victoria - Harbinger

Victoria was born and raised in Maginia, the Demon, Demi-human, and Werewolf kingdom. Even though she was human, she never felt out of place as she doesn't think that humans are that much different that Demons, Demi-humans, or Werewolves.

Victoria comes from a bloodline that uses a very rare type of magic, miasma. A thin vail of miasma surrounds her at all times, which she can thicken greatly. This ability makes her a perfect melee range fighter. By the time she was 19, she learned to condense her miasma into armor and weapons, specifically gauntlets, greaves, and a massive 8-foot scythe.

Her deadly and efficient style of fighting on the battlefield making the Underworld take notice of her. They recruited her, and have her a special rank of 'Harbinger of Terror' age 21.

Victoria's job is to instill fear in the common folk of Etria, she is not to kill all of them, but to go into villages to kill a few villagers and poison their crops and poison their livestock. She wonders aimlessly, sometimes revisiting villages she's already terrorized. Since she was born and raised in Maginia, she does not terrorize Maginia.
