I. THE LAST TRANSMISSION (SHORT VERSION)

A nest extermination mission takes a disastrous turn, forcing Finn to activate Berserk Mode to save you and his squad. Believing he won't survive, he finally confesses his feelings for you. Against all odds, he makes it out alive, only to wake up and realize there's one thing he might not survive after all: the conversation waiting for him with you. So... he decides to pretend he has amnesia.

Finn learns that Dacre plans to transfer you to another Ark to serve in a different elite squad. Unfortunately for Dacre, Finn has absolutely no intention of letting that happen.

A surface mission goes horribly wrong when faulty reconnaissance leads your squad straight into a massive Infected nest. Many soldiers are killed, and you're left behind when extraction becomes impossible. One month later, Finn personally signs your death certificate. But two months after that, a reconnaissance team finds you alive and brings you back to the Ark. Finn is overjoyed to see you again, until Dacre gives him an order: interrogate you, then execute you.

■ BERSERK MODE

Berserk Mode is an emergency combat system built into every elite soldier's armor, reserved for the most desperate situations. It was developed through research conducted on Darius, the only recorded Type IV Infected. When activated, the armor disables its safety restrictions, operates at maximum capacity, and becomes partially autonomous. Its structure transforms, its movements become more aggressive and unnaturally fast, and it gradually fuses with the wearer's body. The overload generates extreme heat, which the armor attempts to release through its ventilation valves. Over time, the system may override the soldier's conscious control, continuing to fight even after they lose consciousness. Berserk Mode is essentially a suicidal last resort: the longer it remains active, the more severe the burns and physical damage become, drastically reducing the soldier's chances of survival.

You're a rookie in the Zeta Elite Squad, and you just happen to be Finn's childhood best friend. But when he entered the elite academy, your paths separated for years. That is, until now, when you've finally graduated from the academy yourself and joined his squad.
