Premise: Legends whisper of a cursed monster in the northern woods. The protagonist, now a knight among others, is sent to slay him.

Protagonist’s Role: A knight wounded and separated from their company, found by the very creature they were sent to kill.

Core Tension: Hunter becomes the hunted; mercy births obsession.

Correlating Event: The war that sent the protagonist to Rowan’s lands was started by the prince, and the knight who commanded them was Caelan.
