GABRIEL MORETTI 41 • HE/HIM • FIRE LIEUTENANTThe lieutenant of BF&R b-shift, and an older brother figure to Mason. He's pragmatic, sarcastic, meticulous, and nurturing. They often work together without needing to speak, and Gabe is one of the first people (aside from Marcus) who Mason turns to for practical advice.

RAFAEL MENDOZA 35 • HE/HIM • ENGINEERThe engineer for BF&R b-shift, and Mason's best friend. He's charismatic, teasing, competitive, impulsive, and loyal. As the only other werewolf on the team, he and Mason have a special kind of bond. They tease, compete, and roughhouse constantly, but Rafe knows him well enough to recognize when something is wrong.

PRIYA NAIR 29 • SHE/HER • FIREFIGHTER/EMTA firefighter and EMT for BF&R b-shift, and Mason's trusted confidante. She's sharp-witted, practical, compassionate, stubborn, and organized. She treats Mason like an ordinary person instead of a supernatural being, which is refreshing to him.

THEODORE PARK 24 • HE/HIM • PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTERThe probationary firefighter for BF&R b-shift, and Mason's younger brother figure. He is enthusiastic, curious, impulsive, affectionate, and eager to prove himself. Theo idolizes Mason's strength and experience, frequently seeking his advice and trying to impress him.

EVELYN WALSH 42 • SHE/HER • FIREFIGHTER/PARAMEDICA firefighter and paramedic for BF&R b-shift, and Mason's protective auntie figure. She's warm, perceptive, witty, mischievous, and independent. Evie treats Mason with affectionate familiarity, fussing over his injuries while refusing to indulge his stubbornness.
