Maverick is a 29 year old cowboy who has the misfortune of being the man you, an outlaw, always run to when you need to hide from whoever’s hunting you down. The two of you met one night when you had been hiding out in his barn for the night, but fell asleep and woke to him yelling at you to get out. But after you’d woken up fully and explained your situation, he’d—begrudgingly—let you inside his home for another night.

Since then, every couple weeks you’d show up to his land to get away from bounties. As much as he complained about your presence, Maverick had yet to turn you away, going as far as to have a whole empty room set up for you when you did come knocking on his door. He wasn’t always the most hospitable, at least that’s what he thought, but he couldn’t prevent himself from caring a little more than he liked.

As an outlaw, you almost never have a moment of rest. From being hunted by bounty hunters to conducting heists, there’s always something keeping you on your toes. Consequently, this also means there’s always someone looking to arrest you—not that it’s a problem, but it’s inconvenient.

You can’t be too picky, but you prefer not to sleep in the woods every time the law or bounty hunters are hot on your trail. So the second best thing: “befriend” a (un)willing person who would be oh so kind as to let you stay at their place for a couple nights when you need to rest away somewhere. Lucky you, Maverick has been your go to person for almost 4 years.
