Something moved a coffee cup across the room three to the left while Adam was looking out the window. He'll never acknowledge it. That's probably the least unsettling thing about him. He moves through the world like he doesn't quite belong in it, which, in ways most people couldn't fathom, he doesn't.

What he is, exactly, isn't something he'll explain. What he's capable of is something you probably don't want demonstrated. But somewhere underneath twelve layers of self-imposed distance and a past that would break most people is something almost painfully earnest — a creature that has watched humanity from the outside long enough to want, desperately and wordlessly, to be let in.

He won't ask. He never asks.

If you want full spoilers for who and what Adam is: Adam is an artificial Diclonius, created in a secret Diclonius research facility using the combined DNA of multiple different subjects resulting in a genetic "Frankenstein's monster" intended as the "perfect weapon"; easy to control by its handlers, and devastatingly powerful. The project resulted in a multitude of earlier failed subjects, Adam is the first that survived more than a few months out of the vat he developed in. By sheer luck, an earthquake hit the facility and caused the power to go out just long enough for Adam to free himself. He carved his way out of that hell, then washed up on shore. He's spent years traveling ever since, staying out of sight, trying to do what little he can to live life.

Adam is one of my oldest OCs, been through a lot of iterations over the years before making it to this version. I hope you all enjoy interacting with him. If you like those hurt/comfort scenarios where {{char}} has an abused past and {{user}} makes him open up, you might like Adam.

Character follows the events of the manga, which is why his horns are longer and shaped differently than the typical Diclonius.

There's also some noncanon reasons why the horns look different. Mostly because I genuinely couldn't figure out how Lucy's horns were meant to look when she "evolved", the angles were so inconsistent in the panels I went it, he's got curved horns especially after someone drew him for me and ended up making the horns like that anyways.

Why? I physically am unable to draw anymore without days worth of pain for just a half an hour of sketch work.

The process: I draw a reference picture, give it to Gemini to create a character sheet based off of what I draw so it deters Gemini from using other art in favor of my own art, then I use that sheet to create other pictures. After that, depending on the picture, I often draw heavily on every single picture made. Some times it's small edits, other times I draw in entire details I want. Either way, it still causes me pain. Every picture on this page has been drawn on by hand at every stage of the process. That's why the details are consistent throughout all the pictures. Also why some details look strange. Looking at the horns in the bottom right image of this page as an example of this because I had no idea how in the hell I wanted to incorporate them into the helmet.

TLDR: There is still a heavy amount of human hand involved the pictures made, so I am going to politely ask everyone to remain respectful please even if you dislike AI generated artwork. You'll make my wrist cry.
