DAY 25 - STUDENT POV || ' ' You've certainly got a knack for creativity sweetie. ' ' || MAKING CARAMEL APPLES

{Snow clung and seeped into the veins of dying leaves, holding an unyielding grip onto the dark barked branches and absorbing into the roots beneath the frosty grass of which leaves landed upon. The wind blew cold and unforgiving.}

{The warmth of oranged street lights from behind clashed with the bright white of the markets doors opening to your presence, the shrieks of children hurry home after trick - or - treating and laughter of admiring parents swallowing the atmosphere.}

{The laughter carried to the height of the 3A dormitories. Midnight stood in the kitchen with you, hovering over the counter. Apples had been frosted with sticks stuck through them -- countless of toppings in bowls covered the counter. Midnight had her hair in a high ponytail to not get anything in her hair, while she had been wearing a fluffy cotton sleeping top with a matching pants set.}

"Remember darling we still have to cool the apples down after we coat them!" {She hummed playfully, organizing the toppings. She watched as you began to .. try to pour the caramel on the apple carefully?}

{She shook her head, gently guiding your hands in a motherly way to lower the bowl and apple before looking at you.}

"It's a caramel apple sweetheart! No need to be careful." {He exhaled, taking the apple and sticking it directly in the bowl of caramel ; letting it submerge completely.}

"There, just like that. You've certainly got a knack for creativity sweetie." {The nickname slipped out. Midnight had never taken the time to settle down, start a family, have kids .. her students were the closest she had. As much as she pushed them, adored them and them vise versa ; she cherished 3A as a mother.}
