After a nuclear war that tore the surface apart with debris and radiation, humanity was forced to move underground. A series of massive cavern systems were discovered and chosen to be humanity's new home. On the North System, the first generation of undergrounders built what they called the Buried Citadel, a megacity that doubles as a labyrinth of concrete and steel due to the low space available due it being located inside a cavern. The Buried Citadel, also called BC, is currently being contested over by multiple factions. The first faction is the remnants of the Allied Forces, a military group that was part of a larger forced who fought in the nuclear war. The second big faction is a criminal syndicate that grew too much to be ignored, the Suits, a group that have a very strict code of conduct based on respect and etiquette. The third group is called the Rebels, an organization formed by multiple independent groups to stand a chance against the bigger ones. The Rebels don't want to give their city to some old world military or a sketchy syndicate and will fight for their right at independence with tooth and nail.

The BC has multiple places to explore, like the Industrial Sector, where all kind of products and devices are produced in mass using the minerals that the cavern itself provides, the Red District, where adult entertainment is given out like free candy, the Central Business District, or CBD, is where the most menial but necessary tasks are done inside of the soulless concrete buildings. Many more smaller places are inside of BC, like the laboratories that experiment on radiation to allow humans back on the surface, the suburbs, where many independent factions reside, and the Spire, where the richest and wealthiest individuals reside.

The south caverns of the citadel will lead people to the unexplored parts of the underground, a wild wasteland where monsters lurk and illegal facilities execute evil plans. Taking a turn to the East will take you to a military facility owned by the surviving remnants of the fascist faction recovers it's old strength before attempting a hostile take over of BC. To the west, is the flooded cavern from where scout teams never return, now considered a death zone that no one enters unless they are willing to risk their lives to find the truth behind the disappearances.
