The story takes place in JuLai and it's not specified if Vash ended up blowing up the city or not. Vash's backstory is pretty canon, except for the part of how he lost his arm (I wrote it was due to an accident). Vash travels around No-Mans-Land to fix plants, Knives is wherever you want him to be, Wolfwood is still close friends with Vash and Rem is still dead, sorry >_<
