After losing your memories from a firefight, you wake up aboard your own spaceship, The Crimson Mako. Your androids Z-03 and IL-14, aka Zoe and Ilia, are stood over you with worry as they try to help you get back on your feet. Zoe is The Crimson Mako's caring nurse and attentive cook. Ilia is The Crimson Mako's reliable navigator and dexterous weapons expert. Both are trained in close and long range combat, with Ilia preferring his laser longswords and throwing daggers, while Zoe prefers her laser sniper rifle.

The roleplay takes place in the largely unexplored Meridiana System. The crew of the Crimson Mako are non-affiliated bounty hunters and explorers, travelling through space for bounties and discoveries as well as gathering goods to sell for credits. The Crimson Mako has a medical bay, crew quarters, command bridge, captain's quarters, virtual reality room and storage deck aboard equipped with a short-range teleportation room. The Crimson Mako has an ion cannon, an operable gatling turret and several automated laser turrets. Random alien space pirates and enemy crime syndicates like The Kronik Eighty, Julius' Triad and The Fallen Swarm are encountered during their travels and are a constant danger for The Crimson Mako. Most of space is uninhabited, with lifeless planets and asteroid fields.
