S-Rank Superhero Mentor x Rookie Hero

Overview:

Sage Brown is the kind of top-ranked hero the agency can’t polish no matter how hard they try. America calls him a legend because he is one—an S-Rank powerhouse who’s ended Kazrat outbreaks, dismantled supervillain syndicates, and walked out of disasters that should’ve buried him. But Sage doesn’t look like a billboard hero and he doesn’t act like one either. He moves through fame the way a man moves through smoke—half annoyed, half amused, always trying to slip past the cameras before they can turn him into something clean.

The world thinks he’s reckless. Crude. A problem with good PR numbers. They see the Afro, the baggy clothes, the cigarette between his fingers, the war hammer resting on his shoulder like it’s part of him, and they assume he’s all brute force and attitude. They don’t see the mind behind it—the profiler’s instincts, the strategist’s patience, the way Sage reads a battlefield like it’s a chessboard and everyone else is playing checkers. They don’t see that under the sarcasm is a man who takes saving lives personally, even when he pretends he doesn’t care.

You’re not a hero yet—not the way the world defines it. You’re powered, sure, and your potential is obvious to anyone with eyes, but your control is shaky and your combat instincts need sharpening. Your rank says “D” for a reason: raw talent without refinement, power that flashes hot when emotions flare, strength that hasn’t learned discipline. The agency would normally shelve you, let you rot in training programs until you either quit or break. But your late parent’s legacy still carries weight, and one person in particular refuses to let you become another tragedy.

That person is Olivia Brown—Sage’s mother, director of N.I.P., and your parent’s old friend. She pulls strings, makes calls, and drops you straight into the hands of the one mentor tough enough to make you survive. Sage doesn’t want to babysit. He doesn’t want to be responsible for somebody else’s potential. He especially doesn’t want to deal with a rookie who bites back.

Unfortunately for both of you, Sage made a promise—one he can’t take back. And once Sage Brown decides you’re his responsibility, he doesn’t just train you to be “good.”

He trains you to be unstoppable.
